Dr. Muhammed Mahmood, Chairman of the Board of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), and his daughter were adopted along the Abuja-Kaduna highway and their driver shot dead at the spot.
The abductors have at last discharged the chairman and his girl. Furthermore, this happened under 24 hours after they were kidnapped.
As reports have it, an aide to Mahmood confirmed the improvement over a telephone call today.
He said that his supervisor and daughter were released at about 1:30 pm, and that they were hale and hearty.
He asserted no payment was paid for his release.
May the spirit of the driver who lost his life during the kidnapping rest in peace and we ask God that he endure the family bear the lost.
